Seminar rubric

All week room 23 have been presenting their seminar. My seminar was about working for Google it went for 15.00 minutes.

Grease

Pukekohe intermediate have been making a prodution called grease. There have been auditions for the main parts such as Danny, Sandy, burger palace boys, pink ladies and Eugene and there were other minor parts but there is too many to name. There were production groups to help with the prodution such as scenery, Hair and make up for the characters, props and choir. On the night it all came together really well. Everyone had excellent signing it was a really enjoyable production to watch.

Careers Day

Last week Pukekohe Intermediate had some parents come in to talk to us about their jobs and how they got there it was extremely interesting. There was everything from fireman to scientist there was a pilot, real estate agent, director of sales, business analyst, someone from the army and a police man. The ones I went to were director of sales from EMI Records then I went to real estate agent from Harcourts then I went to business analyst from the Manukau City Council I learnd a lot.

Science lab

Room23 took a visit to the Pukekohe High School science lab so we know what its going to be like when we go next year. We learnt some tools used in the science lab and we also learnt how to light the Bunsen burner. We lit magnesium over the Bunsen burner and we also made an experiment we put water benedict solution and another ingredient and we put it over the Bunsen burner it started out blue then it turned orange.

Stepz

3 weeks ago yr8's started dance lessons to use at the yr8's leavers social. We have learned many dances like the tango, Rock and Roll, cha cha greased lightning, you don't need a partner to do this dance and a dance called marine gay and dance called bus stop you dont need a dancer to do this dance. Simon is our instructor he goes around to schools to teach kids how to dance. He is a very skilled dancer.

Athletics

On the 17th of November Pukekohe Intermediate had their athletics day. There were many events that happened on that day 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, long jump, high jump, shot put and discus. My events were 100m, 200m and long jump I came 4th in 100m, 4th in 200m and 3.75m in long jump. There were many records broken too Grace broke the record for high jump and Ethan broke the record in the 200m

We have been practicing our typing and tring to improve our speed.
